形态描述
体近圆筒状，后部侧扁。头略平扁。吻长，口端位。颌具齿多行。眼小，眼间相近。鳞大，头部裸露，体背被栉鳞，腹部圆鳞。背鳍2个，分离，雄鱼第一背鳍第三、四鳍棘常延长呈丝状；腹鳍胸位，呈宽短的圆吸盘。体侧上部各鳞具红点，头、颊部有红色虫状纹及斑点。
生物学
Head obtuse and naked, sucking disc'rounded. This goby is commonly found in rivers in East China and inhabits the sand bottom of the streams.
